Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite | Weekend and holiday rotation required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an IMC/PCU/Stepdown setting, maintaining expected patient ratios of 1:5
• Perform management and interpretation of cardiac dysrhythmias and cardiac telemetry monitoring
• Manage and maintain peripheral lines and PICC lines
• Titrate IV drips as ordered and in accordance with unit protocols
• Float to other system campuses as needed based on staffing requirements
• Complete unit-based orientation modules as assigned (non-billable, average 2–4 hours, completed during orientation)

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — must be in hand at time of submission
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; first-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Cardiac telemetry experience required, including management and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Experience with PCU patient ratios (1:5) required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
• Third-party education verification required; degrees from schools on the Florida Diploma Fraud Audit list will not be accepted
• No open background check cases permitted
• Current driver's license required to verify address
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with the application; no post-submission RTO will be accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with titrating vasoactive or other critical drips in a step-down or progressive care environment
• Familiarity with multi-campus health system workflows and floating between units
• Strong adaptability and experience working in high-acuity intermediate care settings
