Legacy Finishing Systems Plasterer Position

Legacy Finishing Systems is looking to expand its team with plasterers.

Location: No home base, you go where the jobs are - requires travel around the Dayton, Columbus, and Cincinnati areas. Candidates must have reliable transportation!

No background check required. Must pass drug screen. Must be authorized to work in the US. Legacy participates in E-Verify. Must have high school diploma or GED. Must join union after 1 week of employment.

Preferred: Hawk and trowel knowledge. Experience with plaster. Knowledge of plaster mixing.

Job Description:

• Apply coats of plaster to walls, ceilings, or partitions of buildings, using trowels, brushes, or spray guns
• Set up scaffolds
• Apply weatherproof, decorative coverings to exterior surfaces of buildings, such as by troweling or spraying on coats of stucco.
• Clean and prepare surfaces for applications of plaster, cement, stucco, or similar materials, such as by drywall taping.
• Mix substances or compounds needed for work activities.
• Mold or install ornamental plaster pieces, panels, or trim.
• Other duties as assigned by foreman.

Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly and up to 75 lbs. occasionally. Ability to climb ladders and work in tight spaces as needed.
• Basic hand tool knowledge
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers quickly and accurately
